Today is the 130th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Fritz Todt, one of the greatest National Socialists of all time. He is remembered as the builder of the Autobahn, but history has otherwise largely forgotten this remarkable man. The fact that Hitler held him in higher regard than many better-known leaders of the Third Reich is evidenced by the deep and moving funeral oration given by the Fuehrer after Dr. Todt's tragic death in a plane crash in 1942. Hitler valued Dr. Todt as a comrade on par with Joseph Goebbels or Rudolf Hess, and posthumously made him the first recipient of the newly created Deutscher Orden, the highest award that the Nazi Party could bestow on a person for "duties of the highest order to the state and party." He was also one of the "Green Nazis," an ecologically-minded man far ahead of his time.

"The abysmal drama is barely glimpsed when it's understood that what the Avatãra pretends, through this Man-Hero --in this case, Adolf Hitler-- is the opposite, in its apparent representation, to what the Führer aspires. The latter fights to win the War for his people, for his race, while the Avatãra only wins by losing."
