The long haired star-How the Anglo-Saxon's described Halley's Comet in 1066.

Andromeda galaxy shows a large ring of dust about 75,000 light-years across encircling the center of the galaxy. Some scientists believe this is the result of a collision with another galaxy in past.

Titan is at this moment the only moon in our solar system with an atmosphere. Atmosphere of Titan is ten times denser than the atmosphere of the e Earth. Titan's atmosphere does not include nitrogen and oxygen like Earth's, but rather nitrogen and methane.

The word "Galaxy" comes from the Greek term for our own galaxy which means "milky circle".

If the planet Jupiter had been 80 times more massive, it would have formed in to a star.

Mars is rich in water ice, in fact NASA in 2007 stated that volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be enough to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 11 meters.

The Earth orbits the Sun at 66,700mph.

If the Earth is a size of a basketball, then the moon would be around the size of an apple at 7 meters away. On this scale the sun would be just under 3 kilometres away, and 26 meters in diameter. The nearest star to Earth would lie at twice the distance of the real Moon.

A corona mass ejection, an extremely powerful eruption on the surface on the sun can be so violent that it can create a solar tsunami. Waves radiate outwards from the CME like a stone thrown in to a pond. These waves are made up of magnetism and million of degree of plasma, and rise up higher than the Earth itself as they race out across the sun's surface at 560,000mph.

When the Moon is directly above your head or if you stand at the equator, you weight slightly less.

A single Quasars produce the same amount of energy as 1 trillion suns.

Just after the Big Bang, everything in the universe was in liquid form.
