💫Rotation💫 ✨Rotation means spinning. Stars spin, planets spin, moons spins and galaxies spin-even atoms spin. ✨The Earth takes 23.93 hours to spin once. This is called its rotation period. ✨The fastest rotating planet is Jupiter, which turns around once every 9.84 hours. ✨The slowest rotating planet is Venus, which takes 243.01 days to turn around. ✨The Sun takes 25.4 days to rotate, but since the Earth is going around it too, it seems to take 27.27 days. ✨As well as spinning, space objects move around each other. Moons orbit planets, planets orbit stars, and stars orbit the center of galaxies. ✨The Earth's movement are not actually felt because everything is moving with it. However, the Earth's spin can be seen as the Sun, Moon and Stars move across the sky. ✨Gravity keeps everything in orbit. The Sun's gravity pulls the Earth, the Earth's gravity pulls the Moon. ✨The fastest spinning objects in the Universe are neutron stars- these can rotate 500-600 times in just one second. @LAQMC
