What is the difference between "coaching" and training? Off course in trading In this answer, I am talking about coaching as I learned it in Educational Sciences, i.e. as a process of accompaniment favoring the emancipation of the other, the creation of more autonomy and meaning. This has little in common with the coaching of standardization of practices and other "solution-oriented" devices aimed at improving productivity in companies or elsewhere. To educate is to instruct and accompany. Training and coaching are educational devices, in which the professional aims at the autonomy of the other person, the valorization of his possibilities, the construction of his place among others and his capacity to become the author of his life. 🍏🍇🍌 Training is a mixture of instruction and coaching: it is a matter of allowing the trainee to connect to the common culture, or more precisely to the culture of a particular profession, by transmitting knowledge (instructing) and by allowing him/her to create meaning from this knowledge (coaching). He thus connects to the group through the acquisition of skills that allow him to be recognized by others as a knower, and he can exist in this group in a unique way because he has created meaning for himself from the common knowledge. (Basically, we don't train clones, if the knowledge transmitted is the same, the accompaniment allows each person to make it his own, and thus to find his place in a unique way).🍏🍇🍌 🍎🍎 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕 Coaching is an accompaniment on its own. It is not a matter of transmitting the codes and rules of the common culture, but of mobilizing entirely on the creation of meaning and the gain of autonomy. How can the student change his or her position and build something that belongs to him or her, based on what he or she knows, on what he or she already has in hand, in the situation that is his or her own? This is what is at stake in an accompaniment, a coaching, a process of change where the professional is not the one who knows in the place of the other, but the one who stimulates his/her capacity to create meaning for him/herself in order to find his/her place linked to that of others. It is a process that allows emancipation, subjectivation, empowerment and connection. (In short, the opposite of standardizing practices to be more productive in the company...)🍎🍅🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕 These two devices are essential to build a little more humanity every day. Without support, training is no longer training, but 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗. It is not enough to be educated to be educated, to be a human being connected to others and fully author of his life. Accompaniment is indispensable to find one's place and to feel a member of the human community. Many of us today believe that we are educated because we are highly educated. This is a delusion. Many people suffer from never having understood how to relate to others and how to build a place in the group from which they can express their uniqueness, precisely because they have never really been accompanied. Silence, calm, reflection are very effective tools. Say the essentials and leave trivialities. Teach those who want to learn, and less and less respond to those who seek to compare themselves. This must be our perpetual research. Not everyone is trying to improve, others just want explanations to compare it to other. The Concepts of "The RTM Style" is universal No one has the best version. (excepting PA-3D in terms of fidelity to the original teaching of IF ) I repeat and sign, The Concept of "The RTM Style" is universal and people do not hold his exact knowledge. We are only perpetual improvement. Personally never again I will limit myself to levels of terminology, comparison, definition. My way is now mine, I will leave all the freedom to the market to guide me.
