Sons Of Columbia

Never shall the sons of Columbia be slaves, while the earth bears a plant, or the sea rolls its waves. Never shall the sons of America bend, but united their rights and their freedom defend. All photos captured by Patriot Front activists.

🇺🇸 Flags of Patriot Front 🇺🇸 The Nativist Flag "Foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government." — Washington Seen at various actions is Patriot Front's nativist flag, which compiles several historical designs. Taking inspiration from the anti-immigrant and patriotic movements of the early 19th Century such as the Know Nothings, the flag combines a portrait of Washington flanked by 13 star American flags with an eagle perched atop carrying a shield with the president's family coat of arms. One of the more interesting elements of the flag is the phrase "Native Americans Beware of Foreign Influence", which boldly asserts the nativity of the European people on this continent, especially since the term "Native Americans" was not popularized in reference to Indians until the mid-20th Century. Likewise it must be understood that while Patriot Front endorses the nationalist and nativist principles of the movements from which the banner is derived, it does not share many of the religious opinions commonly associated. There is an intentional anachronism to the banner which aims to symbolize the connection between patriotic movements of past and future.

"On this spot lie buried two cowboys who gave their lives in winning the frontier to civilization. Tom Best rode South from Kansas to 1872 to join the Texas cattle drivers, but was killed by hostile Indians a short distance north of this point. Ed Chambers in 1873, rode North with a herd from Texas, and he, too, was killed by Indians about a mile southeast of here." ⛰️ 📍Enid, Oklahoma

"The borders of the English colonies displayed no such phenomena of mingling races; for here a thorny and impracticable barrier divided the white man from the red. The English fur-traders, and the rude men in their employ, showed it is true an ample alacrity to fling off the restraints of civilization; but though they became barbarians, they did not become Indians; and scorn on one side and hatred on the other still marked the intercourse of the hostile races." 🇺🇸 🪽 Francis Parkman, The Conspiracy of Pontiac, 1851 🎨 William Trost Richards, Woodland Brook, 1861

🇺🇸 Flags of Patriot Front 🇺🇸 The Rattlesnake Flag "Like the wise and cautious rattlesnake, the American spirit is both vigilant and patient." — Franklin Patriot Front occasionally employs a flag of its own design bearing the classical American rattlesnake featured (most notably) in one of Benjamin Franklin's pre-revolutionary political cartoons with the title "Join or Die." Franklin chose the rattlesnake as an American symbol as it was seen as a more noble creature, warning its opponents before attacking out of necessity. The design is modified by being placed on a blue field with eight and five stars respectively, representing the original five Southern states and the original eight Northern states. The banner revives traditional symbolism in a revolutionary way, and sends a message of unity to Americans in dire — but necessary — defense of their nation.
