BURKE CO., North Dakota Rural firefighters responded to an explosion Wednesday at a well pad site in Burke Co. A crew from Columbus Fire got the call around 3:30 p.m. of an incident at a site SW of Columbus, according to Burke Co Emergency Manager Barry Jager. Jager said the site is owned by Formentera Operating, LLC. He said no one was on site at the time, and there were no injuries. Jager indicated there were 6 tanks on site— 4 oil and 2 water. He said everything was contained on site.
