Vikes. 22/7/20. Sujata mam board. 3rd one to go. Electrical engineer from NIT Durgapur. PSIR optional. Hobbies : Watching web series and Short distance running. Chairperson: 1. Is this your photo 2. Introduce yourself 3. U didnt work or didnt get placed or ..? 4. Do u agree that civil servants are status quoist. 5. How will then they bring changes. 6. Ques on recent labour reforms. 7. Shld economic reforms be undertaken at cost of labourers. Mam's response at end: ok. Good. Member 1: 1. Suppose u get selected and posted in ur home state. What would be ur priority. 2. Follow up questions and few cross questioning. Member 2 : 1. So, I see u have studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya. Their quality of edu is so good. Do u knw whats their administrative, teaching methology etc ? 2. I see you are a good sprinter. What was your 100m timing. 3. World record ? By ? Country from ? 4. Do u knw a person who is known globally for record in long jump. 5. U also run 200m. Whats timing there. Member 3: Stretched ques on sports. 1. Do u agree that there is a biological race that has advanatage in sprinting race ? 2. Are u aware about any constitutional provision regarding prohibiting cow slaughter 3. Whats diff bw KV and JNV. 4. Some question on name of my village and significance. Member 4: 1. I see you are from political science background. Difference bw Kautilya's Arthashastra and Chankya niti. (Something he asked...). 2. Comparison bw western thinker and Kautilya. -> name of Machiavelli's Book. 3. Do u agree with notion of "Ends justifies means"?. Back to chairperson : U want to discuss something else. Ok thank you. ----------------------- It gets bit uncomfortable appearing for interview in gloves,mask and shield. Had to adjust and clear my shield couple of times. But nothing much to worry. Once u get onto hot seat, things get going. Overall very cordial board. No grilling. No technical question. No IR question. Had a satisfying experience. Sujata mam switched on Tv and wasn't much focused. Last takeaway : mocks and actual interview dont have any direct relation as such (not in my case so far). D Manoj Soni sir board 20th July, 2020 Afternoon session Home state: Uttar Pradesh Philosophy optional Hobbies: Teaching and watching comic videos Chairman (keenly watches the candidate throughout): 1) What is so happy about today apart from it being your interview? 2) How was your city named? 3) Why did you study social science instead of going for engineering or medicine as most other aspirants do? 4) How can you use any Indian philosophy in administration? 5) Tell me the names of 5 Indian philosophers. 6) Pick any one and tell how can you use his philosophy in administration. Member 1 (framed questions vaguely): 1) Whom do you teach? 2) Where do you watch comic videos..do you watch series or what? 3) Which comic show would you recommend to me? 4) What are the 3 core functions that the government performs? 5) What were the functions performed by the colonial administration in India? Member 2: 1) What are your thoughts on the extra judicial killing of criminals? 2) Why does UP have such poor law and order? 3) What would you do as an administrator to tackle this problem? 4) Why do we only take actions against criminals when they become a history sheeter...Why not nip them in the bud? Member 3: 1) Choose 5 people from history with impeccable integrity. 2) Rank the neighbours of India in decreasing order of importance? Why such a low rank for Bhutan despite it being India's best friend in the region? 3) Has India ever defeated China in a war? Can we do that in the present times? 4) Pick any one relative or friend who has had the greatest impact on your personality. Member 4 (smiling lady member): 1) You mentioned Jiddu Krishnamurti ji. What have you read about him? Follow up 2) Some statues are being razed abroad? Do you know about it? 3) Many names are being changed in India...does it change the ground reality also? 4) Do you think we have bio-ethics in the world? 5) Suppose their is a baby which is to be born and we know beforehand that it would have some disability or deformity.
