I've read thermals are good for SLLS (stop look listen, smell) but you cant see through glass even with the head mountables and I was thinking about going the NVG route for the passive observation like patrolling my neighborhood while wife n kids sleep (I'm working on a tribe now, trying to build a group of concerned citizens as we speak) And I'm okay with waiting and saving I just fear the doomsday clock has moved an hour and I want to get my necessities ASAP but thank you for the response, will weigh my options more heavily but I believe immediately (Friday) I'll invest in brass and mags and when my savings hit 7k I'll dump on thermals or NVG
