Don't be an idiot, don't be a Collett, don't annoy the prison system, don't give your details to them & if you really want to help Sam properly advise them to take the legal route instead & to take this post down.
Doing all of this will just get up the prison systems nose & could potentially lead to Sam being ghosted out of Hull prison & sent somewhere worse.

13 Just speculating of course, maybe this post didn't help the situation. Making out Hull prison is a holiday camp for children & claiming how the prison isn't strict isn't particular a good look for the prison, so they've made an example out of this, now Hull prison will be mass targeted by angry Sam Melia supporters.
I know I don't like them, but that's irrelevant I think it's just plain daft to write a diary on every prison visit, it's designed to be a punishment not to talk about how nice it is.

14 My two pence worth on the latest Melia drama:
I do find it very peciular that from what I'm aware of every political prisoner from our side even those that's seen as "terrorist" by the state serving long time jail stints has never had this ban against contact with their children.
According to all policies & risk assessments a person posing risk to children are only offenders that directly harms children.
Something does not seem right in this, however let's take face value that it has happened as it has been posted.
Then surely the most logical thing to do would be NOT to ask your members to write letters to the prison as this could very well annoy the prison system even further and put Sam under further scrutiny.
Finally surely this would be violating a man's humans rights, so this could be a very winnable case that could be solved quite quickly so maybe this might be the right time to dip in to that 65k already raised for a half decent solicitor to get this overturned?
Anyway my advice to their listeners, please don't part with more of your money & don't send letters to the prison, just advise them to take the legal route instead.

We all have our ups & downs in life, our life in general is challenging to us all in periods of our life.
I've had some dark moments myself so this kind of post brings back some horrible memories, so despite the disagreements I've had in the past with active, I truly hope he is okay & will always be here if he needs anything.
