من تعلق بالله وعليه توكل ، لا ملّ ولا قلّ ولا ضّل ولا ذلّ ، اللهم أني وكلت أمري إليك كُلهِ.

He who relies on Allah and entrusts his affairs to Him, free from arrogance, stinginess, misguidance, or humiliation. O Allah, I entrust all my affairs to You.

‏اللهم أكفني شر الناس ‏وأكفني شر الحُزن ‏وأكفني شر الخُذلان ‏وأمسح على قلبي ورُوحي برحمتك ‏حتى أرتاح يارب العالمين O Allāh, suffice me against the evil of people. Suffice me against the evil of grief. Suffice me against the pain of being let down. Wipe over my heart and soul with Your mercy until I find ease, O Lord of the worlds.

In the Qur'ān, the word "darkness" is used in a plural form, while the word "light" is singular. Ibn al-Qayyim said:

This is from the miracles of the Qur'ān because there are many paths that lead to darkness, but only one leads to light.

Shaykh al-Albani (rahimahullah): So aspire, O Muslim, to know your Islaam from your Lord’s Book and your Prophet’s Sunnah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). And don’t say, ‘So and so said.’ For verily, the Truth is not known by the men — nay! know the Truth, and you will recognize the men (who are upon it)! [Shaykh al-Albani (rahimahullah), as-Saheehah, 5/350]

قُل لَّوْ أَنتُمْ تَمْلِكُونَ خَزَائِنَ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّي إِذًا لَّأَمْسَكْتُمْ خَشْيَةَ الْإِنفَاقِ وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ قَتُورًا

Say, "If you possessed the treasure of the Mercy of my Lord (wealth, money, provision, etc.), then you would surely hold back (from spending) for fear of (being exhausted), and man is ever miserly!" [Suratul Israa’, 17:100]

Avoiding sins and leaving what does not concern you illuminates the heart, for the heart is affected by what a person repeatedly does and focuses on. A beautiful reminder that it isn't just about "doing good", but equally about removing what is unnecessarily occupying your heart.

﴿وَأَحْسِن كَمَا أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ﴾ and do good as Allah has been good to you — Surat Qasas, 28:77

Strange is the condition of the one who knows that death is (in) his destiny, the grave will be his abode, yet his eyes are cooled with the dunya? And his life is sweet in it? Then he wept

{Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allāh says,˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allāh’s mercy, for Allāh certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”} - Sūraẗ al-ʾAʿlā; 39:53

مَا أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّبْرَأَهَا إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (al-Lauh al-Mahfuz, the Preserved Register), before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allah. لِّكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا بِمَا آتَاكُمْ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ In order that you may not be sad over matters that you fail to get, nor rejoice because of that which has been given to you. And Allah likes not prideful boasters. [Surah Hadid, 57:22-23]

One tasbīḥah (i.e., glorifying Aḷḷāh through ḏhikr) in Ramaḍān is better than a thousand tasbīḥāt outside of it. 📖 ʾIbn ʾAbiyy ad-Dunyā in Faḍāʾil Šhahr Ramaḍān #23. 🗣 az-Zuhriyy – raḥimahuḷḷāh – سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (SubḥānAḷḷāh) الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ (al-Ḥamdu liḷḷāh) لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ (Lā ilāha illa Aḷḷāh) اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (Aḷḷāhu Akbar).

Recite Qur’an linked with Receiving Guidance. {وَأَنْ أَتْلُوَ الْقُرْآنَ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِي لِنَفْسِهِ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُنذِرِينَ}

And to recite the Qur’an, so whosoever receives guidance, receives it for the good of his ownself, and whosoever goes astray, say (to him): "I am only one of the warners”. [Surah an-Naml, 92]

{قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ قُلْ أَفَاتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِي الظُّلُمَاتُ وَالنُّورُ أَمْ جَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ خَلَقُوا كَخَلْقِهِ فَتَشَابَهَ الْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ قُلِ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ}

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Have you then taken (for worship) Auliya' (protectors, etc.) other than Him, such as have no power either for benefit or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Is the blind equal to the one who sees? Or darkness equal to light? Or do they assign to Allah partners who created the like of His creation, so that the creation (which they made and His creation) seemed alike to them." Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things, He is the One, the Irresistible." [Surah ar-Ra’d, 13:16]

‘Awn ibn Abdullah (rahimahullah) said: There is nobody who has free time to look at the people’s faults except due to negligence of himself. [as-Samt Ibn Abee ad-Dunya (rahimahullah), 198]

One of the Righteous Said: "We Used to Seek Knowledge in the Masaajid, then Schools were Opened, so the Barakah Departed; then, chairs were Introduced, so the Humility Departed; then, Certificates were Introduced, so the Sincerity Departed..."

°° لا تجعل لحظة فراغ تفتح بابً قضيت وقتًا طويلًا تحاول اغلاقه

Don't let a moment of boredom open a door that you've spent a long time trying to close.
