I used to have sanctuaries. There were people who felt like a quiet place, safe harbors where the noise of the world couldn't reach me. I used to run to them to catch my breath and find my footing. But when I reach out for them now, my hands close around nothing. They have disappeared into the dark, or perhaps they have just become strangers wearing familiar faces. The refuge I once knew is gone, the doors locked, the warmth entirely extinguished.
Now, there is just the cold. The sharp edges of the sorrow have slowly dulled into a deep, pervasive numbness. I don't feel the panic of the water rising anymore; I don't feel much of anything at all. And the quiet tragedy is that I no longer want to. I am too tired to fight the current or search for a light that isn't there. I just want to sink into the quiet, surrender to the dark, and finally feel nothing at all.

There is only emptiness here. The silence of these four walls rings in my ears, a constant, heavy reminder of the absolute loneliness that has wrapped itself around me.

The shadows in this room don’t just exist; they breathe. They stretch across the walls and gather across the floor, rising like dark, heavy water. I can feel myself sinking into it, pulled downward by an invisible weight buried deep in my chest. It is a quiet drowning, a slow collapse inward where the surface drifts further and further away, and the air grows unbearably thin.

And when you finally draw a line, they don't see a boundary.. they see an accusation, turn the blade around, and force you to apologize for bleeding.

It is a silent cruelty when the people who swear they care force you to swallow your voice, only to scream at you with the exact same words you were punished for saying.

They beg you to be honest until your truth makes them uncomfortable.. then they gag you with guilt and call it love.

I buried my anger so deep inside my chest that it turned into concrete, and now every breath feels like choking on my own ashes
