An update:
In Minnesota, our journalists documented how the state’s voter-vouching system operates in practice — including a poll worker telling us, “You’re the ID.”
The response has been overwhelming. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon publicly called our work “outrageous conduct,” state officials have been forced to respond, and the investigation has generated extensive earned media across local and national outlets.
Sen. Mike Lee highlighted the investigation in discussing the SAVE Act, while Sen. Ted Cruz said our team has “done more journalism than ABC, NBC and CBS put together.”
In Michigan, we investigated voter registrations involving non-U.S. citizens, including Iranian nationals — one of whom DHS has identified on its “Worst of the Worst” list. That investigation has also generated national attention and renewed scrutiny of voter eligibility and registration.
