XAU/USD Analysis (H1)
Price has followed our analysis perfectly yesterday and push back into our previous range. Market is still ranging currently and we will continue to focus on our range scalp strategy today.
Gameplan:
1. I will be monitoring for potential sells if price breaks below and close below our previous lows at 2326.5, creating a bearish CHoCH. I will then wait for price to retrace to a bearish FVG/OB on m5 timeframe to look for entries.
2. If price break above the range and close above 2331.9, i will be looking for breakout buys to target our previous OTE level at 2339-2345 where i will be looking for medium risk sells.
3.Higher probability buys at our H4 flip zone + Liquidity at 2320-2316, since price has already created a bullish BOS and sentiment is shifted towards the bullish side with DXY rejecting the daily OB.

GOLD FALLS AS INVESTORS AWAIT MORE CUES
Gold dropped to around $2,320 per ounce on Monday, following a more than 1% rise last week, under pressure from higher US Treasury yields, while market participants awaited further cues to gauge the Federal Reserve's monetary policy trajectory.
Last week's data indicated that US consumer prices held steady in May for the first time in nearly two years, while producer prices unexpectedly declined.
However, updated economic projections from Fed officials suggested only one quarter-point cut for this year.
Despite the Fed signaling just one cut, investors will closely monitor Fed officials' statements, alongside key economic releases such as retail sales, industrial production, and S&P Global flash PMIs, to assess the potential for multiple rate cuts this year.
Elsewhere, gold demand in India was tepid last week, while premiums in top consumer China slid due to weak sentiment and high spot prices.

🔴Mohamed El-Erian: US labor market data closes the door to a rate cut in July
The famous economist, Mohamed El-Erian, told Bloomberg News Television, commenting on the US labor market data issued at the end of last week, that the stronger employment market data than expectations closed the door to the possibility that the US Federal Reserve would begin a cycle of lowering interest rates at its July meeting.
Muhammad Al-Erian continued, explaining that the labor market report reflects the strength of demand for labor and the strength of wages paid, which will close the door to the start of the interest rate reduction cycle by the US Federal Reserve, stressing that these data do not indicate any signs of an interest rate cut at the July meeting.
Mohamed El-Erian also expected that the US Federal Reserve would reduce the interest rate only once this year, suggesting the possibility that US Federal Reserve Governor Jerome Powell would maintain the greatest degree of choice, and also, rely on the incoming economic data.
Likewise, the President of Queen's College in Cambridge explained that the debate regarding interest cuts will continue for a while, given the weakness of the US economy and the lack of reserves in the form of savings built up at the time of the pandemic along with fiscal spending.

🟡Gold is close to exceeding an important level before the release of US employment data
Global gold prices rose close to exceeding $2,400 per ounce during trading today, Friday, and are on track to achieve their first weekly gain in three weeks as traders intensify their bets that the US Federal Reserve will begin lowering interest rates soon, pushing the dollar and Treasury bond yields lower.
The dollar hovered near an eight-week low and the yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds fell to a low of 4.275 percent on Thursday, its lowest level since April 1, making the metal more attractive to investors.
“Gold prices have remained resilient recently, as lower bond yields and the US dollar have provided a supportive environment for the yellow metal,” said Yip Jun Rong, market analyst at IG.
Markets are now looking to US non-farm payrolls data. With job growth likely to come in below economists' average forecast of 185,000 jobs.
A series of economic data this week reinforced the idea that inflation is cooling and that the Federal Reserve will begin cutting interest rates as early as September.
Lower interest rates reduce the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding bullion.
