For nutritional purposes ICDS provides 300 kilocalories (with 8-10 grams of protein) every day to every child below 6 years of age.[10] For adolescent girls it is up to 500 kilo calories with up to 25 grams of protein everyday.
Broad Objective : 1.To raise the health and nutritional level of poor Indian children below 6 years of age.
2.To create a base for proper mental, physical and social development of children in India.
3.To reduce instances of mortality, malnutrition and school dropouts among Indian children.
4.To coordinate activities of policy formulation and implementation among all departments of various ministries involved in the different government programmes and schemes aimed at child development across India.
5.To provide health and nutritional information and education to mothers of young children to enhance child rearing capabilities of mothers in the country of India.
6.To provide nutritional food to the mothers of young children and also at the time of pregnancy period.

Scheme: Dhanalakshmi Scheme
Key Facts about the scheme : 1.A Scheme for conditional Cash Transfer for the Gird Child
2.The scheme provides for cash transfer to the family of a girl child on fulfilling certain conditionality relating to registration of birth, immunization, enrolment and retention in school till class VIII; and
3.An insurance coverage if the girl remains unmarried till the age of 18.
Broad Objective : reduce the amount of female infanticide cases in the country, offer insurance and an education incentive

Scheme: Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana
Key Facts about the scheme : 1. PKVY scheme is the first comprehensive plan based on a 20 hectare cluster whose implementation is done by the state governments.
2. In a cluster maximum financial assistance of up to 1 hectare is provided to the farmers.
