Moreover, the model is open-source, so if you have a particularly sensitive question, it's better to first download the model onto your computer and use it locally. Also, people asked how to run the model locally on a computer or private server. I was going to just reply directly, but decided to write a post in case others are interested. Here is DeepSeek’s GitHub page. Browse through it, pick the model that suits you, then follow the link to the Hugging Face page where the model weights are hosted. For example, here’s a link to R1, which is a distillation of LLaMA with 8 billion parameters. Then you clone the repository, which downloads the model weights locally. To install it, follow the instructions in the README — the usual procedure. This gives you the most complete and low-level access to the model possible. Is anybody really, really good at designing apps? For iPhone and Android. I am looking for serious people who are a whiz at creating totally new things.
