Over 11 papers a day, with ChatGPT in the title, have been published (so far) this year. Last year, we regularly looked at how many papers had been published that had 'ChatGPT' in the title. The graphics shows the current status (28 Jun 2024). Four papers were published in 2022, Last year, 2,660 papers were published and this year, so far, 2,127 papers have been published. It won't be too long before the number published this year passes the number published last year. There has even been one paper published in next year! Some context 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣: Looking at the number of papers published in 2023, the 2,660 papers represents 7.29 papers being published each day. 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣: We are 180 days into 2024 so, given the 2,127 papers that have been published, this represents 11.82 papers being published each day.

تعتبر البحوث مثل المرآة للباحث وأيضا تعتبر مثل الرمز الخاص به عندما يتم النظر الى البحوث سوف يكون مؤشر بارزا لتقييمه على المستوى العلمي من حيث امكانيته العلمية وتطوره العلمي لذلك يجب ان يكون للباحث خلفية علمية لذلك يجب ان نضع في اعتبارنا عدة جوانب أهمها: 1- تعتبر البحوث مؤشر للنجاح في التقييم العلمي لأنها تعتبر خلفية او رمز للباحث عندما يقدم الى بعثة او العمل في مجال معين. 2- تعتبر البحوث معلومات أساسية للتمويل في المؤسسات البحثية. 3- تعتبر البحوث معايير داعمة للمشاريع العلمية. 4- تعتبر البحوث مهمة لاستيفاء شروط الحصول على الشهادات العليا كالماجستير او الدكتوراه فعلى سبيل المثال بعض الجامعات تطلب من الطالب نشر 3-4-5 بحوث في دراسته للدكتوراه وبشكل اجباري. 5- يعتبر البحث كأعلام للتعاون بين باحث معين والباحثين الاخرين قد يكونوا من خارج البلد قد اعتمدوا على بحثه. لقراءة المقال كاملا والذي يحمل عنوان "النشر العلمي: دافعيته – أسبابه – مميزاته"يمكنكم الضغط على الرابط الاتي 👇 https://itrdc.uokufa.edu.iq/archives/40121

One page paper is cited 141 times. 124 of those citations are self-citations. This 2023 paper by Kleebayoon and Wiwanitkit has been cited 141 times (which is high for a 2023 paper, well we think so - at least for a one page commentary paper). 171 papers published in 2024 are written by the same 31 authors and all published in the same journal. Is this okay (serious question - see last question)? This graph shows how many authors each paper has (on the x-axis) and the bars shows how many papers have that many authors. For example, 259 papers have two authors. The take home messages: 🔴The red bar shows that 171 papers have 31 authors. 🔴The 31 authors for all those papers are the same. 🔴The papers have all been published in either: Food and Chemical Toxicology (ISSN:0278-6915) [142 papers] or Food and chemical toxicology : an international journal published for the British Industrial Biological Research Association (ISSN:1873-6351) [28 papers] BUT, looking at the journals, they are actually the same journal, one is an print ISSN and the other is an online ISSN.

22 people have published more than 200 papers in 2024 (so far, we still have another six months to go) In 2024, 22 authors (according to @Scopus) have published over 200 papers. The table shows the details (we decided not to show author names at this time). The author who has published the most papers has authored 261 papers (as at 15 Jun 2024) meaning that he/she has published 1.56 papers every day this year (and counting). If we exclude weekends (everybody has to rest, right?), then they have published 2.18 papers every day. Serious question: Is it possible for anybody to contribute in a meaningful way (at least to warrant being at author) when they are publishing a paper every day?
