Happy 66th Independence Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬
Sixty-six years ago, our nation stepped boldly into freedom.
Today, Nursing Media Network and Nursing Research and Data Institute join millions of Nigerians in celebrating our resilience, unity and hope.
We salute every Nigerian nurse and midwife: in our wards, clinics, communities and classrooms. Your care holds our nation together, your stories deserve to be told, and your work generates the evidence that shapes better health for all.
We remain committed to amplifying the voice of nursing, strengthening research and reliable health data, and turning evidence into practice for the good of every Nigerian.
Here's to a healthier, stronger and more united Nigeria: driven by knowledge, guided by data, and powered by care.

ANA Now Accepts LPNs and LVNs as Members: What This Historic Bylaws Change Means for You
For the first time in its history, the American Nurses Association (ANA) is opening its doors to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs). On June 27, 2026, voting representatives at ANA’s annual Membership Assembly approved a bylaws amendment that ends decades of RN-only membership and welcomes the full nursing care team under one roof.

Happy Father's Day 💙
In the moments where life begins and families grow, I have often been reminded of the quiet strength and presence of fathers as they step into one of life’s most meaningful roles.
In the labour ward, I have seen fathers stand through uncertainty with patience and presence—waiting, hoping, and staying close through every unfolding moment. Beyond those moments, I have also seen how that same strength continues at home, in daily responsibilities, decisions, and care.
Fatherhood is expressed in many ways—through guidance, protection, consistency, and love that shapes a child’s sense of direction and belonging over time.
Today, I celebrate all fathers, fathers-to-be, father figures, and the men who provide love, guidance, protection, and support to their families. Your sacrifices, dedication, and commitment do not go unnoticed.
Happy Father's Day.

Look to your left, now look to your right…
Every one of you has a story of sacrifice, resilience, and determination.
Now look at yourself.
You are still here. You made it this far—and that means something.
As you prepare for the May 2026 General Nursing Council Examinations, remember that you are not the same person who started this journey. You are stronger, more knowledgeable, and more capable than you realize.
The long nights, the clinicals, the moments you doubted yourself—they were all preparing you for this point.
Walk into your exams with confidence. Trust what you’ve learned. Trust your training. Trust yourself.
You have earned your place in this profession.
Wishing you clarity of mind, calmness under pressure, and outstanding success in your examinations.
Your future in nursing begins now.
May the miracle of Easter bring you perfect peace amidst the busyness of your shift.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope and a source of comfort for your patients.
