It also prohibits related advertisements and financial transactions. 🔹The government has stressed that the law will not criminalise players themselves. Instead, it treats users as victims of addiction and exploitation, focusing punitive measures on promoters, advertisers, and financial enablers. At its core, the Bill prohibits all forms of online money gaming, regardless of whether they are based on skill, chance, or both. 🔹On the promotion side, e-sports has been recognised as a legitimate competitive sport. The Sports Ministry will set guidelines, training academies, research centres and incentive schemes.
