Say if it really was unfeasible for the national broadcaster to give every EU candidate equitable airtime, a fairer solution would be to conduct polls to determine which are top ten favourite candidates in each electoral area and invite them to debate. Better still, if the public has repeatedly told pollsters that their top concern is say immigration, a selection of candidates who represent these concerns should be invited to the debate table. Likewise if support for independent candidates is now beating traditional parties, their voices should be given a platform.
