On January 9, 2025, a Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ overran the runway while landing at Ubatuba Airport in São Paulo, Brazil. The aircraft crossed a road and crashed onto Cruzeiro Beach, where it exploded. The pilot was killed, and seven others, including children, were injured.
The incident was captured on surveillance cameras, showing the jet skidding off the runway and erupting into flames upon reaching the beach.
