🕋 An indian man walked for one year and 17 days from his hometown in Kerala to Makkah in order to perform Hajj.
Shihabudeen Sayid Alawi, also known as Shihab Chottur, covered a distance of 8,640 kilometers, crossing five countries starting from India through Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Kuwait and then finally Saudi Arabia. He said he received heartwarming support and encouragement from local communities along the way.

Narrated Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said,
"If one says one-hundred times in one day:
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
One will get the reward of manumitting ten slaves, and one-hundred good deeds will be written in his account, and one-hundred bad deeds will be wiped off or erased from his account, and on that day he will be protected from the morning till evening from Satan, and nobody will be superior to him except one who has done more than that which he has done.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3293]
Transliteration: Lā ilāha illAllāhu, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shaiʾin qadīr
Translation: There is no god but Allah alone, without any partner. The Kingdom and praise belongs to Him and He has power over everything.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
"... I seek from Allāh that fasting on the Day of ʿArafah may atone for the sins of the preceding and the coming year."

“The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allāh loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that, wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that, earns His wrath.”

Narrated by ibn al-ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه, The Prophet ﷺ said:
“No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on the first ten days of Dhūl Ḥijjah”
Then some companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "Not even Jihad?"
He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allāh's sake) and does not return with any of those things."

Do you not see that to Allāh bow down in submission all those in the heavens and all those on the earth, as well as the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, and all living beings, as well as many humans, while many are deserving of punishment. And whoever Allāh disgraces, none can honour. Surely Allāh does what He wills.
