I visited downtown Memphis yesterday for jury duty and will return this morning.
When I’m not reading, I enjoy watching the world go by.
Out of 300 people or so, looks like only one gal didn’t read the instructions on how to dress. I was impressed that the percentage wasn’t higher. Apparently the court room is some sort of Victorian time warp phenomenon because women’s ankles are not allowed to be seen. One guy was wearing men’s flannel lounge pants. I don’t judge him; I judge myself for not figuring out how to make my pajama bottoms look like business casual pants. (Note to self: need new lounge pants. Tell Felix it’s for a social-science experiment.)
Y’all have a beautiful, jury duty free day. But, if you find yourself doing your civic duty, may you encounter loving, kind people.

From @Tim:
[In regards to the above post] CM and her husband watched their son Jonah walk out of the hospital this week as they tried to help him get treatment for his new opiate addiction. We as a prayer group prayed with all our hearts and cried with CM and her husband but I think it compliments your post, especially in the light of CM’s week.
Blessings to you fellow beloved and cherished prayer warriors.
I confess my soul is grieving this morning. And yet I want to share a beautiful truth I came to understand this past week. Out of this deep grief - this heap of ashes of my soul - came a beautiful understanding that only God can provide…. I’m full of joy sharing this revelation from God, this treasure, that is more precious than gold or silver, with you.
This past week’s awful and devastating storm has made me focus on one word, Immanuel. It is mentioned only three times in the Bible- twice in the OT and once in the NT. Isn’t that something? Only three times. But is so important. Three is an important number to God.
Three days Jonah was in the belly of the whale. Three days it took for Jesus to be resurrected. There are three persons of God- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There could be other 3’s in the Bible, but these are the ones that stand out to me this morning as I reflect on that number. A chord of three is not easily broken, comes to mind as well.
Immanuel- this Hebrew name means “God is with us.” I learned that Immanuel is with us through it all- through all of the hard times and the good times, through the highs and lows. He is with us in the valleys and He is with us on the mountain tops. Immanuel is with us every step of the way on this journey called life. He cries with us. He laughs with us. He walks with us. He sometimes carries us. He holds out his hand to us. He sings over us. He rejoices with us. He skips with us. He dances with us. He despairs with us. He holds us up when we can’t do it on our own. He is with us as the Father. He is with us as the Son. He is with us through the Holy Spirit. Three times mentioned in the Bible perhaps to represent the three ways he is with us today. So thankful that God is always with us! ❤️
This past week I saw this every day, sometimes every hour, sometimes minute by minute. When I gather my strength, I hope to share more of this story that has not ended yet by the way, some day. But for now I am thankful to share that God revealed to me this nature of His name - Immanuel - this past week and thought it might be good revelation and reminder to share with the group.
Know that Immanuel is indeed with us. Every second, every minute, every hour, every day.

That’s what it’s all about.
Finding the smiles God gifts us and sharing our discoveries so others can smile, too. The biggest smile that will ever grace our face is when we accept the greatest Gift the Lord shared with humanity.
We can smile even though our hearts are aching… even when there are clouds in the skies… even when we are fearful and sorrowful…
Because Jesus makes it all worthwhile.
Because God makes our lives beautiful.
Smile, not for the world.
Smile, because of Him.

Trump spoke about this coming indictment at several rallies. Here is one example:

☝🏻 I think how Trump, and whoever is behind him, are handling these extremely disturbing issues is reasonable.
Yes, we’d like to see justice administered without delay. However, some of the demands others above made about what should be done and when are unreasonable, in my humble opinion.
The Sound of Freedom, for example, is a soft introduction to child trafficking, a shoehorn, if you will into the lives of those who have been unaware of what is taking place. The movie has a place and serves a purpose.
I firmly believe we will continue to see trafficking and adrenochrome being discussed openly, from a variety of sectors.
Who are we to rush the hand of God? Do not relent in prostrating before The Almighty on behalf of the children. Trust His timing, His ways, His promises.

Repost from The Liberty Tavern
"The whole adrenochrome empire. This is a big deal. It's a chemical compound. It's an elite drug that they've used for many years. It's ten times more potent than heroin

Trump posted this just before 2 am ET. Perhaps he knows the secret to staying up late is cookies 😏
