We are trying again, friends. Instead of another robo dwarf hamster, we picked out a black bear hamster.
And they look like miniature bear cubs! I'm borrowing this picture from the internet until I can capture a photo of ours.
Life is planning. And it's also taking care, nurturing and loving God's creatures.
We need your help. Any name suggestions for a girl hamster?

What makes life good?
A question that hopefully prompts countless replies from you.
We had a productive weekend. Busy cleaning, prepping, organizing, and working hard outdoors under gorgeous skies. We relished joking around and laughing with the kids. Cuddles, smiles, hugs and never enough I-love-yous.
Last week, another high school connections on the books. This week, a field trip to learn from an expert geologist. And two special evenings planned to be among dear friends.
Pumpkins, yellow, orange and red leaves, smoke-tinged air, and apples and cinnamon float gently through my mind, circling, warming, enticing.
Yes, there are challenges (hello Latin!), grief (the hamster passed), frustration (where’s Durham?), the mystery (what was with the flag?)…
We keep living as best we can, loving each other and loving the Lord most of all.
God has called us, Dear Friends, to bear witness to His abounding glory in these oh so very unique times.
Life is good.

DISCOVERIES
• Scientists say new treatments for the most severe form of skin cancer could be developed now that they’ve made a major breakthrough, discovering a way to inhibit a key growth enzyme in melanoma. When Glutaryl-CoA Dehydrogenase, (GCDH) was inhibited in tumors they weren’t able to survive long term. Potentially this is because it’s a key source of “food,” but also because it trigged a protein called NRF2 to acquire an ability to suppress cancer. GCDH deprivation is now being theorized as a potential treatment, both through targeting pharmaceuticals in the case of a GCDH-inhibitor, or as a dietary intervention

Repost from The General
President Trump on possibility of his indictment:

Q: What do you think of maritime law and filing the paperwork for sovereignty?
A: I understand the appeal, and some interesting points are made. However, once I started digging into it, things got a little sketchy. My personal opinion is that this is not something we will see manifest via a President Trump administration. Please proceed with caution, conduct an exhaustive research and pray extensively. I would also encourage you to re-read our Constitution, follow the Ten Commandments, and live by Matthew 22:37-40.
Q: Do you believe the earth is flat?
A: I do not. In the twelve years I have been aware of this theory, I have not found evidence to convince me it’s flat. I have no quarrel with anyone who believes the earth is flat, and I have always been willing to discuss and consider possibilities. However, it’s regrettable those who do believe the earth is flat state others are anti-God because we don’t share their personal view of the earth. Right now, I think the focus should be on salvation for the lost. Our priority should be prayerfully, faithfully asking God’s help in defeating our enemies; then we can re-visit the flat earth theory. Seems reasonable, right?
