Pay It Forward! KOOMPI recently interviewed one of our partners: Ping Ann from (enter channel/page), and his initiative to provide students with access to technology. He acknowledged the impact of COVID-19 in the workplace and with remote learning. It has created a digital gap for many Cambodian students who may be experiencing extra financial constraints during the pandemic. Through his initiative, Ping Ann aims to close this gap, one laptop at a time. By providing less-fortunate students (especially for provinces) with laptops, they are not only able to continue learning, but also use it to search for scholarships and employment opportunities to support themselves, while also stayed connected to family and friends. When asked where he got this idea from, Ping Ann told us the story of how he was gifted a laptop from a relative while young, which motivated him to spread the same kindness. With his relatives’ gift, he was able to find scholarships abroad, work, and other learning opportunities. He hopes that by helping those in need like he was once, they will be inspired to pass on the same kindness in the future. Although he does not have any specific criteria, Ping Ann awards determined and outstanding students through his networks who do not have access to resources with his personal funds. A student in Battambang once commented on one of our Facebook posts that she would love to own a KOOMPI, but she could not afford one - so Pingann travelled all the way to deliver it to her doorstep! Ping Ann hopes to see his initiative grow to a national program, so that students anywhere in Cambodia can fill in a application, then receive a laptop. While he is currently using his own salary to support this, he hopes to grow partnerships to continue connecting students to technology. It is these acts of kindness which truly make the largest impacts, changing the lives of Cambodian students - one laptop at a time.

Mainnet Token Auction We open up $SEL to more people who request to contribute a small amount to bond/stake as nominators to earn more $SEL for helping to secure the network. The Token Auction will have a maximum contribution of USD 100 equivalence and minimum of USD 10 per contributor.
