I noticed in Paris, there were cyclists everywhere and the cars had to give way. I was thinking how patient they are until I sat in a Parisian car and the driver complained about the cyclists. Then I learned it’s because there is a law that motorists had to keep a certain distance and their insurance is required to pay 100% of cyclist’s medical if there’s a collision…

It’s been so hot and hazy recently in Singapore that I prefer indoors with aircon 🥵🥵

A quick tip to get into popular restaurants in France without booking is to arrive earlier like 6pm if they are opened earlier. Meanwhile in Singapore, we eat dinner as early as 5.30pm…

It’s said that bread needs to breathe so my French reader frowned when I showed that we put bread in plastic bags. No wonder French bread tastes so good 😋

Tap water is served FOC at all restaurants in France when you order a meal . But in Singapore, only some cafes and Japanese restaurants provide free tap water. The rest requires you to pay a small fee or simply not offer them at all.

I tried to ask for warm water after I caught a cold on my first day of travel but nobody at the restaurants understood me… so I had to ration my own warm water in my thermal bottle while traveling in Europe…😮‍💨

I feel like a star when I join tours in Asia because the tour guide will know the best photo spots and help to take photos 😬

I bought a bottled drink in Europe and couldn’t detach the cap from the bottle. So I tried so hard with all my might to twist and turn the cap but with no avail. Then I googled and realized that it was not meant to be detached… 😑

🥳🎉 Our first Kickstarter campaign was a success! Big thanks to all our fans and friends, as well as generous backers who pledged without reward🩷🎉 TBH I didn’t expect it to be successful because my recent T-shirts didn’t sell well (maybe because it’s POD). I was worried I won’t sell much if it’s too expensive, so I priced the plushies very close to cost price. So now Kopi and Matcha are yaya papaya (acting proud), knowing so many people love them😏. I’ve drawn about the recycling failure in Singapore before but I’m doing it again because it really disappoints me each time I washed and dried the containers for recycling, only to find all kinds of trash dumped into our recycling bins, contaminating everything inside it. I think it would be much better to have separated bins so if your item doesn’t fit the description, they belong to the trash.
