The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga organised the inaugural programme of the 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 to highlight the importance of dietary diversity, healthy eating practices and adequate protein intake.

💠Indian Railways has achieved a significant milestone in railway safety with the successful commissioning of KAVACH Version4.0 for the first time on South Central Railway (SCR)
💠The upgradation from KAVACH Version 3.2 to Version 4.0 has been successfully completed over 108 Route Kilometres on the Malkajgiri-Kamareddi section of Hyderabad Division
💠The latest version incorporates further technological improvements based on the experience gained from the deployment of KAVACH Version 3.2 over 1,465 Route Kilometres on South Central Railway
💠KAVACH4.0 brings enhanced safety, advanced technology, higher reliability, and safer train operations, and is planned for large-scale deployment across Indian Railways.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) absorbed ₹75,026 crore from the banking system through an overnight Variable Rate Reverse Repo (VRRR) auction, amid surplus liquidity.
The RBI absorbed the liquidity at a cut-off and weighted average rate of 5.24%.
According to RBI data, as on 22nd September, liquidity in the banking system was in surplus of ₹4.45 trillion.
The RBI has been conducting VRRR auctions to absorb excess liquidity and align overnight money market rates with the repo rate.
The central bank has also conducted open market operations (OMO) sales of government securities worth ₹50,000 crore on 17th September and ₹25,000 crore on 21st September.
The remaining ₹25,000 crore tranche is scheduled for 28th September.
The RBI had announced total OMO sales of ₹1 trillion in three tranches to manage liquidity conditions.

Fitch Ratings has raised its forecast for India’s GDP growth in the current fiscal year to 6.9 per cent, up from its earlier projection of 6.4 per cent. In its June Global Economic Outlook, the agency attributed the upward revision to strong first-quarter growth and the resilience of the Indian economy. However, Fitch expects economic momentum to moderate during the second half of the fiscal year. It also anticipates that the Reserve Bank of India may raise interest rates by 25 basis points at its October monetary policy meeting, citing strong domestic demand, rising prices and adverse supply-side developments.

India has reaffirmed its commitment to combating Viral Hepatitis and eliminating Hepatitis B and C as public health threats by 2030. Addressing a side event of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, organised by the UN Group of Friends to Eliminate Hepatitis, Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava highlighted India’s comprehensive, people-centred response across prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and care.
