Before Peter Tan took over as principal of Queensway Secondary School, he felt prompted to walk around the school to pray for the well-being of those in it.
Unexpectedly to him, what started with prayer would end with prayer as well.
On the day of his retirement, some students gathered around him and asked if they could pray for him.
“I was so heartened,” he told some 600 educators at the National Christian Educators Conference on December 22, 2025.
“As you bless others, you, too, will be blessed. As Christian educators, we can make a difference.”
