We’ve just awarded the contract for the design and construction of tunnels between the Cross Island Line Phase 2 (#CRL2) Jurong Lake District station and West Coast station (working names) to Nishimatsu Construction Co. Ltd – Okumura Corporation Singapore Branch Joint Venture! Both companies have a strong track record of undertaking tunnelling projects in Singapore and abroad. 💪🚧 Nishimatsu Construction Co. Ltd is currently constructing the bored tunnels between #CRL Tampines North station and Defu station and have previously completed tunnelling works for #CCL6 Keppel station and #TEL Gardens by the Bay station. 🚇 Okumura Corporation has worked on projects such as the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System, Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway and Taipei MRT Airport Line. Works for these tunnels are expected to start in Q4 2024 and passenger service for CRL2 is slated to commence in 2032. #ThereRailBeMore

Next time you’re in the Fort Canning area, check out the ‘Another Day’ sculpture at Fort Canning MRT Station Exit A! 🤩 Created by 🇸🇬 local artist Fah Cheong, recipient of the Singapore Cultural Medallion in 2014, the sculpture immortalises the coolie – the archetype of workmen in colonial Singapore who laboured at the Singapore River waterfront. 💪 The donation from CapitaLand is the latest in our #GiftofArt programme aimed to create a more vibrant and pleasant commuting experience along our rail network. 🚇

The OBU now offers enhanced real-time traffic information to make your journey smoother! 🌟 Estimated Travel Time: Get real-time updates on your estimated travel time to key destinations while driving on most expressways (except for MCE and KPE). We're continually adding more routes and destinations.🛣🕒 Car Park Availability: Heading to Marina Centre, Orchard, or Harbourfront? The OBU will now show car park availability in key buildings nearby, reducing the hassle of searching for parking in the CBD and major shopping areas. 🚙🅿 Stay tuned as we expand this feature to more locations!
