Nastronauts,
It pains me to say this but in the last few hours the formal decision was made to disestablish NASA Token. Before I address some of the FUD that is likely to stem from this, I’d like to say a few things first. This was NOT an easy decision to make but it is ultimately the right decision. We’re understaffed, we lack marketing funds as selling the tokens from our marketing wallet into low volume would destroy the market cap, we’re constantly targeted across our social media platforms by bad actors trying to slander the project, we lack experience and guidiance and lastly our smart contract is flawed and is and will continue to be consistent source of FUD well into the future.
I don’t think anyone can blame us for not giving it our all, we fought for so long but ultimately we were just delaying the inevitable. We truely thought $NASA would succeed in this DeFi space, there was and still is a market for what we had to offer but for the reasons outlined above (among others) we weren’t able to capitalise.
To our supporters, from the team members to each individual holder, I can’t thank you enough! You were the backbone of $NASA and you’re a large part of the reason why $NASA was so great. I meet some awesome people along the way, and made some great friends which I’ll continue to keep in touch with moving forward.
With that said, I understand you’re probably upset and you’re thinking “thank yous aren’t going to get me my money back”. Which is true, they’re not but that’s just the nature of crypto unfortunately, this is what you signed up for. I wish things could have gone differently, there were times in which we felt invincible, on top of the world, like we were really going to make it and be rich some day, in hindsight these were perfect opportunities to take profit but if you’re anything like me you probably didn’t and instead brought more.
Now to address the FUD:
⁃ We did not and will not drain the liquidity.
⁃ This decision was not coordinated or pre planned. NASA V2 was launched with good intentions, we did not take profits at the top, the initial dump came from NASA V1 holders taking profit of which we had no control over.
⁃ The team myself included are NOT walking away from this with a bucketload of cash. As a matter of fact we’re all losing money and hand on my heart, I have only sold about 3BNB worth of my own NASA V2 tokens and I won’t be selling the remainder. The rest of the team have sold what they could in the past few hours or so as they’re completely entitled to do.
⁃ Only 0.5 BNB worth of NASA V2 Tokens were ever sold from the marketing wallet.
⁃ No tokens were ever sold from the Rug Pull Relief Fund wallet.
⁃ Our roadmap was accurate and a clear representation of what we had planned to deliver.
⁃ The app was in development, but further development has now been cancelled.
⁃ We’re not using fake identities. The people, photos and links to profiles on our website are 100% us. We are real people, with families, jobs and lives outside of crypto. I ask that you please respect that. We tried all we could to make this project a success, sure we are part of the reason why it fell short but those reasons were not due to ill intent or bad practice.
I believe I’ve covered mostly everything. I sincerely apologise for the bad news, we’re just as upset as you are and this is not at all what we wanted or intended.
I will use this opportunity to take a break from crypto for a little while and reset mentally, I hope that you all do the same. The main chat will be muted for 24 hours after which point it will be opened and we’ll stop in to answer questions from time to time.
From the team here at $NASA, thanks for all the great times and we wish you all the best in life.
Jesse
