You may have received a message with a web address that appears to be from one of your CloudVeil Messenger or Telegram contacts. Clicking the link leads to a webpage where a malicious actor deceptively tries to obtain the login credentials to your account and then forwards you to an offensive website. If you grant them access to your account, they will send similar messages from your account to your contacts. Please bear in mind that this issue is not due to a failure of CloudVeil or Telegram, but rather an external phishing attack.
Recommended actions:
1. Enable two-step verification. Open
Settings > Privacy and Security > Two-Step Verification and add a password to your account.
2. If you have already granted access to a malicious user, you must attempt to remove them by going to Settings > Devices and terminating all the unknown session(s).
3. As a general precaution, never click on or sign in to web pages of which you are unsure.Google has terminated CloudVeil's Developer Account unexpectedly and without warning. As a result, no CloudVeil apps are currently available through the Play Store.

CloudVeil Messenger is a filtered messaging app that utilizes Telegram’s global communication network. The Telegram messaging platform, like email, is subject to occasional spam messages. Some CloudVeil Messenger users have reported that they are being added to spam chat groups without their consent. Telegram and CloudVeil Messenger both include settings that can help with this issue. By default, these settings are disabled to allow unhindered communication. However, the downside is that it allows the potential for spam. Below are the steps to change these settings to help prevent spam.
Android:
1. Press the three horizontal bars in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
2. Select
Settings > Privacy and Security.
3. Select Groups & Channels and change to 'My Contacts'. This will prevent unknown parties from adding you to a group.
iPhone:
1. Select Settings > Privacy and Security.
2. Select Groups & Channels and change to 'My Contacts'. This will prevent unknown parties from adding you to a group.The CloudVeil servers and client apps are undergoing some changes to allow us to serve our diverse group of users better.
The new CloudVeil Messenger app will ask you to choose a church organization. Please select the name of your church organization from the list. Enter your email address to receive support responses from CloudVeil.
If your church organization is not listed, please select 'Other Mennonite Churches' or 'All Other Users', depending on which one describes your situation best.
Note: It is important to select your correct church organization so your CloudVeil Messenger app works as expected. Unblock requests will NOT work correctly if you choose the wrong group. In addition, you may not be able to access your chat groups if you do not select your church organization. The new system requires this one-time step to better support our CloudVeil Messenger users.
Some of you have noticed a message from Telegram asking you to update your CloudVeil Messenger app to the latest version. This is due to a new feature that Telegram is implementing. The latest App Store and Play Store versions of the app should already support this feature while the Windows and Mac versions will require an additional update. We'll be releasing the updates for the Windows and Mac clients sometime next week.
Make sure you keep your app updated to the latest version. Android and iOS can be updated from the Play Store and App Store. The Windows and Mac clients will receive an in-app notification when an update is available.
