God Loves The Youth

We shared on the Dynamics of TEMPTATION on Sunday. Remember that the devil’s mission statement is SKD - To steal, kill and ultimately destroy. One of his strategies is TEMPTATION. The act of inducing and enticing someone to do something that they find attractive but know to be wrong or unwise. And would ultimately be destructive to them. He begins with a SUGGESTION. This is the seed stage. When He suggests or plants destructive seeds and ideas in our minds. If you don’t deal with it at this level, he proceeds to the conversation level. Like in the case of EVE. At this point, if you do not resist him quickly, you begin to find yourself buying into, and considering, his offer. And the more you dilly dally, the harder it becomes to resist him. Then he gets you to stage 3. DISTRACTION. At this point, you are already planning and making excuses for the sin on the table. Then you get to the PARTICIPATION stage. And remember, that his ultimate mission is DESTRUCTION. Key point. 1. Bible says RESIST the devil, not DISCUSS with the devil. When He throws darts at you, but way of ungodly thoughts and ideas, Fight back with IT IS WRITTEN (I.e, THE WORD) - or take action BASED ON THE WORD. Eg, When the word says FLEE, don’t stay back PRAYING IN TONGUES. Just book spiritual IBOM AIR, and fly away. That’s what it means to act on the word. It’s not being cowardly. It is wisdom. Don’t hang around your temptation and subscribe to your weakness. Eg, if you find your self messing up at parties. There’s no point going there with a big BIBLE, hoping to wave it when the remoter comes. Just avoid them. 🤷‍♂️. 2. Pray - Prayer heightens our sensitivity and builds inner spiritual strength. 3. Get filled with the word. If there’s no word within, how would you respond? It is the word that SHINES in darkness. 4. Be sober and vigilant - in Naija we call it, SHINE YOUR EYE 5. He capitalizes on our ungodly desires. Purify your motives and hearts. James 1:14-15
