Why should there be two different lives, one now and one later? A life is not a draft. It is not a rehearsal for something greater. It is the stage itself. When we anchor meaning in a promised second existence, we risk neglecting the richness and urgency of the present. Epicurus wrote, "Death is nothing to us," reminding us that fearing or craving what lies beyond distracts us from the only realm we truly inhabit this moment, here and now. Perhaps the question is not whether there is life after death, but whether we are fully alive before it. Good night 😴
