Hello students,
A lot has changed in recent attempts:
The number of subjects has been reduced from 8 to 6, which means a 25% reduction in the syllabus.
In subjects like Audit, several chapters have been removed.
There’s even a subject that is technically not a subject in itself but an open-book exam comprising other subjects, effectively reducing the syllabus by 40%.
While this change applies to all students, ICAI’s passing percentage remains on similar lines. This clearly shows that ICAI isn’t passing more students just because the syllabus has been reduced.
Earlier, two revisions were a minimum requirement, and three were ideal. Now, students need to work even harder, revising subjects multiple times, especially the chapters ICAI tends to favor.
The same principle applies to mock tests—students must simulate examination conditions more often, including solving random questions from anywhere in the syllabus. But remember, mock tests can only be given if you complete your syllabus on time.
Studying with full focus for a minimum of 10 hours a day has become the need of the hour. However, neglecting your mental and physical health will only hinder your progress. Even if you study for 9.5 hours, dedicate at least 30 minutes to your body. I've often seen students lose precious days due to general health issues. Ensure you maintain good immunity by focusing on essential vitamins like C, B12, and D.
Trust yourself, do your karma, and believe in the process. Results will follow your efforts.
Wishing you all the best for the May 2025 attempt. I’m here to help whenever you need!

Yadav Ji has always been a pillar of support for students and members, and I wholeheartedly extend my support to him for the ICAI Central Council Member (CCM) elections!
There have been numerous instances where he has stood firmly for students. For example, during the recent SPOM class issue, he extended his support to many students from our channel.
Even during ICAI campus placements, he went above and beyond to assist members in resolving technical difficulties.
Such dedication and commitment make him truly deserving of our support!
Voting dates - 6th Dec and 7th Dec.

The Perils of Speculative Trading: A Lesson for Students
A few weeks ago, I had a conversation with a student that left me deeply concerned. He revealed that he was burdened with over ₹5 lakh in debt, accumulated mostly through share market activities like options trading, futures, and intraday trading. Shockingly, he had learned these strategies from an SFM class teacher.
While the idea of making quick money is undeniably tempting, it’s important to recognize the risks and avoid falling for promises of easy riches, whether in the share market (option, future, intra day etc), betting apps, or even cryptocurrency.
Many in my circle have lost lakhs in speculative ventures, but they managed to cope because it was their own hard-earned money—not borrowed funds. Taking out loans for such high-risk activities is the height of irresponsibility.
Why Speculative Trading is Dangerous
Speculative trading, especially in derivatives like options and futures, is not as simple as it seems. Success requires not only advanced knowledge but also years of experience, access to professional tools, and a proper setup. Even seasoned professionals dedicate their lives to understanding market dynamics, and yet losses are common in this highly volatile field.
For students and beginners, the risks are far greater. Lack of experience, coupled with borrowed funds, creates a recipe for disaster.
Learn for Knowledge, Not for Quick Money
It’s perfectly fine to learn about the share market and trading for the sake of knowledge. Understanding financial instruments is important, but it should not be misconstrued as a license to speculate recklessly.
A Reality Check
The markets are dominated by institutional players and professional traders with years of experience. For the average person, consistently making money through trading is next to impossible. The risks far outweigh the rewards, especially for those without a professional setup or the ability to absorb significant losses.
Remember, the share market is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Stay informed, stay cautious, and prioritize financial stability over speculative thrills.
Focus on long-term investing. For most people, systematic and disciplined investing is the safest and most reliable way to build wealth.
