The pattern is interesting:

Volatility isn't an exception in midcaps.It's part of the journey
The frequency is worth noticing.

A 5β10% correction happened roughly once every 1.2 years.

A 10β20% correction happened once every 2.6 years.

A fall above 20% happened once every 4.2 years.
That's the historical experience
And the >20% falls weren't all the same.
Some recovered relatively quickly. Others took much longer.
