How many strategies do you have to trash before finding some edge?) You comments
Today I realized that last time I even touched code was more than 6 months ago and I really felt like it...
Looks like soon, whats gonna happen is local free models are just gonna take over the retail needs and paid version will only be needed for specific big, difficult enterprise jobs.
I was thinking of an options board next... but will be real glad if anyone also give this monster a ride and comes back with feedback. I will update soon, probably next week when NinjaTrader gives me prod access.
I think the WFO is amazing, portfolio backtester too, chart trading, well hard to surprise anoyone with it nowadays but it has all standard features like chart trading and book trading with fancy drag and drop orders. It cant make good strategies for you still)) you have to make your own but it really helps figuring out what sucks) before loosing money.
So any features that are cool, go ahead feel free to suggest. One of the users asked for static csv and parquet data importer and got it in a week
We are not very mass retail orientated, I would prefer to suit a small group of traders with professional features as good as possible plus follow white label and source code routes if anyone is interested.
Meanwhile https://algo-desk.com/ anyone welcome to review, suggest features and explore, I am very open for improvements and feature suggestions. Now its hooked up to static data, Bybit, we are waiting for dxFeed confirmation with data and NinjaTrader is coming up probably next week. It has a multi period WFO and a cool portfolio backtester, strategy coding is very similar and Claude takes care of it instantly, plus it has an MCP server so you can literally set up all your tests using chat.
This is AlgoDesk guys, platform I coded over the years from zero to hero. Its gonna be connected to NinjaTrader accounts next week, I have passed conformance tests yesterday with their API so anyone interested can give this a a go quite soon.
Its tricky but interesting, did a few quick trades, changed the exit to manual for more control which made this super discrete but pretty fun to play around with untill you loose money)
What are the odds this is gonna work out? So enter above a threshold and above a certain delta and exit when below... gonna try now)) I think its not gonna work
Trying out agressor speed indicator... figured dxFeed provides agressor side data on tick so maybe that works out like a proper tape speed indicator finally
