π΄ GIFT NIFTY traded 11 points higher at 21,251.50 signaling that the Indian stock market is headed for a positive start today.
π΄ The Dow Jones hit a record high, up 1.12% at 36,986.89 points, after the Federal Reserve hinted at lower borrowing costs in 2024. This is the Dow's first record since January 2022, signaling a return to a bull market. Wall Street surged, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq also gaining 1.3% and 1.4%. Main Street investors, although most funds benchmark against the S&P 500, closely follow the Dow.
π΄ India VIX was down by 5.09% 12.06 levels. The cooling off in the volatility comes as FED announces lowering borrowing cost for next year as well as the spurge in the FII buying.
