| 13 | The MRCP exam has three parts: MRCP Part 1 (written paper); MRCP Part 2 (written paper); and MRCP Part 2 Clinical Examination (PACES).
The MRCP part 1 examination consists of multiple choice questions in the best of five format.
The MRCP part 2 examination consists of multiple choice questions in the best of five format.
The MRCP PACES examination consists of a carousel with 5 stations. Station 1 : Tests the candidate's ability to examine the respiratory system and abdomen. Station 2 : Tests the candidate's history taking ability. Station 3 : Tests the candidate's ability to examine the cardiovascular system and perform a neurological examination. Station 4 : Tests the candidate's communication skills and the ability to deal with issues of medical ethics. Station 5 : Comprises two 8-minute "integrated clinical assessments" requiring the candidate to take a focused history and examination, formulate a differential diagnosis and management plan, and communicate the plan to the patient.

Exam held on Khartoum : September 2016

Hours of studying : 8 to 10 hours dialy

1. The only note u will ever need (Text book ) :
I highly recommend it , very concise and to the point ; the only disadvantage that it is not updated.
2. Pass medicine question bank (offline ):
The most important Q bank .
60 % of the exam usually from it
3. Pass test question bank (offline ) :
Highly recommended ; more difficult than pass medicine.
It will increase your knowledge and will improve both the way you approach questions and your speed as well
4. On exam question bank :

الحمدلله العيان عاش و النزيف ما باصا بيه. المهم لحدي الصباح و في الهاند اوفر اثناء المرور الصباحي و معانا كل التيم الكبير من ناس جراحة نقل الأعضاء، استشاريي الكبد و الجهاز الهضمي و الممرضين و منسقيين فريق نقل الأعضاء و ناس العلاج الطبيعي و ناس الصيدلة و ناس التغذية ... الخ
الفريق اطمأن علي العيان، و بعدها دار الحوار التالي بين كبير الاستشاريين و المريض:
The senior consultant: "It must have been a tough night".
The patient: " Indeed. But there is one thing I can't forget".
The senior consultant: "What was that?".
The patient: " This doctor - pointing at me- was smiling, although it was 3 am".
فسبحان الله! العيان طلع من عملية معقدة امبارح و لسة ما شم العافية و طول الليل كان علي حافة الموت، بس دا كله نساه. كان مركز مع الابتسامة بتاعت 3 صباحاً!
