IIT Hyderabad SURE Internship: Eligibility
Only non-IIT Hyderabad students with these eligibilities can apply:
– Should be a first year MSc (maths, physics, chemistry or biology), or an MA first year or second or third year BTech or BDes (all branches), or a third or fourth year integrated BTech/ MTech programme.
– Applicants should be among the top 20 per cent based on CGPA or percent score in all the previous years in his/her discipline in the college and to be certified by the Head of the Institute/Principal at the time of the application.
– The applicant should be a full-time or regular student at the time of application and till the completion of the internship.
– The applicant should be able to work full time (minimum one month) for the internship. Part-time or online internship is not allowed.
While hostel accommodation for the interns will be provided in IITH student hostels, the mess charges will have to be borne by the interns.

Ilan Pappé is a well known Israeli historian and political scientist. He is Professor, College of Social Sciences and International Studies at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom, and Director of the university's European Centre for Palestine Studies.

We would like to invite you to Book Discussion Series 2024 on "Secularism as Misdirection: Critical Thought from the Global South", organized by Speaking from Margin. The discussion will be led by Nivedita Menon, the author of the book, who is a Professor of Political Thought at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. Her work focuses on feminism and feminist theory, intersectionality and political theory.
The book discussion aims to explore the concept of secularism and its various interpretations from the perspective of the Global South. Professor Menon will share her insights on her book, and participants are encouraged to engage in critical discussions and debates.
The discussion will take place on January 20th, 2024, at 4:00 pm (IST) via Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/dfb-faob-rnt.
