📌 Social Security & Government Schemes — APFC / EO-AO Went through previous year papers and one thing is sure - this section isn't easy marks. Traps are usually one word, one digit, one state name. The traps that actually appeared: ▪️ PM POSHAN — Class I to VIII, not I to VI (2025) ▪️ Atal Pension Yojana — entry age 18-40. Asked 2016, 2017, 2021. Same trap each time. ▪️ Namami Gange — UK, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, WB. Odisha is not a Ganga main-stem state. ▪️ PMKSY — irrigation + water efficiency only. No fertilizer/pesticide subsidy. ▪️ StandUp India — manufacturing, services, trading. Farming excluded. Per branch: 1 SC/ST + 1 woman borrower. ▪️ PMSBY — ₹12 when asked in 2017, ₹20 today. Old solved papers won't flag this. Age brackets they love mixing up: ICDS 0-6 | RTE 6-14 | Sabla 11-18 From the 2025 paper: SMILE — transgender persons + begging (both) SPREE 2025 — ESIC, one-time registration window ELI — ~₹1 lakh crore outlay eSanjeevani — telemedicine The pattern across a decade: Age limit → Ministry → States covered → Amount → Who's excluded. Five columns per scheme. That's the whole preparation. 📄 Full set of 28 solved questions with explanations — dropping here shortly. Doubts? Drop them in the group. 👇

📌 APFC 2026 — Indian Economy & Development: What Actually Repeats Exam date: 20 December 2026. I went through every UPSC EPFO paper from 2016 to 2025 (APFC + EO/AO). Economy is the biggest section, and most of it is not new — it repeats. The 10 highest-yield points: 1. Core inflation — asked in 2017, asked again in 2025. Excludes food and fuel. Nine years apart, same answer. 2. MSME classification — only 2 criteria after 2020: investment in plant & machinery/equipment + annual turnover. Number of workers is NOT a criterion. 3. Ministry-scheme mapping — ZED, Credit Linked Capital Subsidy, NMCP, Cluster Development → all Ministry of MSME. 4. RTGS & NEFT → owned and operated by RBI. NPCI is promoted by banks. The 2023 paper flipped this and most candidates got it wrong. 5. Monetary policy — inflation target set by Central Govt in consultation with RBI (CPI, every 5 years). Framework operated by RBI/MPC. 6. FTA — internal tariffs abolished, each member keeps its own external tariff. 7. Monopolistic competition — differentiated products, not homogeneous. 8. DFI timeline — IFCI 1948, ICICI 1955, IDBI 1964, NaBFID 2021. 9. Dear money = high interest rates. Disinvestment = dilution of govt stake in PSUs. 10. Data from 2025 paper — Services ~55% of GVA; health spending target 2.5% of GDP by 2025 (15th FC); Fiscal Health Index by NITI Aayog for 18 states; India 1st in milk production with 24% of world output. The pattern: roughly 60% static concepts, 30% scheme and institution mapping, 10% current data. Most aspirants over-read current affairs and lose the easy static marks. Coming soon: complete topic-wise PYQ compilation, UPSC EPFO 2016–2025 (APFC + EO/AO), with short solutions.

📌 Repeated History Topics in UPSC EPFO APFC Exam If you’re preparing for APFC, don’t study History randomly. The paper keeps returning to the same high-yield themes. Focus on these recurring areas: 🏺 Archaeology & Historiography - Alexander Cunningham, John Marshall, R.E.M. Wheeler, Bhimbetka Rock Art 🛕 Ancient Culture & Architecture - Temple styles (Black Pagoda, Kailashanatha), NBPW & PGW, Natyashastra, Arthashastra 🇮🇳 Nationalist Factions & Leaders - No-Changers/Swarajists, Socialist groups, Congress Session Presidents, Madan Mohan Malaviya ⚖️ Economic & Social History - Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s writings, Macaulay’s Minute, Ryotwari system, Women’s reform societies 🔥 Also prioritize: Peasant & Tribal Movements Smart strategy: PYQs → Recurring themes → Short notes → Repeated revision Study what APFC has actually asked. Then expand. Save this. Share with a fellow aspirant.

While preparing for Mains, don't try to solve every past year's question (PYQ). 1️⃣ Focus on 2013 to 2026 PYQs: Stick to questions from 2013 onward, as the exam pattern underwent a major shift that year. 2️⃣ Focus on themes, not individual questions: Spotting recurring themes will significantly simplify your preparation. 3️⃣ Build static notes around core themes: Prepare short, structured notes for the static syllabus based on the high-yield themes you identify. 4️⃣ Treat Current Affairs PYQs as thematic guides: Questions on current events are usually context-specific to that year. Use them primarily to identify repeating topics—such as Bills, Acts, or landmark Supreme Court judgments in Polity. 5️⃣Avoid over-preparing: Know your boundaries and focus only on what consistently yields results. Struggling to crack CSAT? Waiting until January is a trap. Start today: spend 30 minutes solving 5 questions daily. Analyze your mistakes, fix the gaps, and repeat tomorrow. Small daily efforts beat panic mode every single time.

While PIB is a great source for current affairs, relying solely on it is risky for UPSC Prelims. Don't compromise on other current affairs resources—UPSC can easily shift its trends by 2027, so avoid blindly following a single source.
