#BiharCurrentAffairs Bihar scholar wins Sahitya Akademi Award for Translation Renowned writer–translator Prof Ratneshwar Mishra of Bihar’s Purnia district won the Sahitya Akademi Award for translation for the book ‘Azadi’ in Maithili. The novel Azadi authored by Chaman Nahal commonly known as C Nahal in English is considered his best novel and the author had won Sahitya Akademi Award for the novel in 1977. The novel published in 1975 tells his experiences of having lived in Sialkot during the period of partition.

#BiharCurrentAffairs Dalai Lama launches five-year Bhikkhu exchange programme The 14th Dalai Lama on Tuesday launched the five-year ‘Pali and Sanskrit International Bhikkhu Exchange Programme 2022-27’, at Watpa temple in Bodh Gaya. In the first phase of the five-year plan, selected monks will visit different places within India, while next year they will go to Thailand followed by Sri Lanka. The monks will carry out a study on Buddhism following Pali and the Sanskrit tradition.
