The shooting took place less than 7 miles from where police urged on by Donald Trump extrajudicially executed Michael Reinoehl to punish him for shooting an armed fascist in self-defense. The disparity in treatment could not be more severe. The prosecutor is sending a clear message. If you are a Trump supporter, you can shoot, stab, and throw bombs at anti-fascists without any consequences. If you are an antifascist and you engage in self-defense, you will be hunted down and assassinated. We know better than to look to the courts for justice or any resolution to our problems. This just confirms that public officials are working hand in glove with non-state paramilitaries to promote lethal violence against our communities. Who will protect us? It's up to us.
