💱 Forex: global FX market, about $9.6 trillion a day. Moves in pips on currency pairs.
📄 CFDs: trade the price difference without owning the asset (currencies, indices, gold, oil, shares). Long or short.
⚠️ Leverage cuts both ways. Example: 1:20 means $1k can control $20k, but a small wrong move can mean a margin call. Risk rule he shared: about 1% of current capital per trade. He said only an estimated 5-10% of retail traders stay consistently profitable.
🌍 What moves markets (his big four): interest rates, inflation, job data, and GDP. Gold and the USD often move inversely.
📖 Macro case study: George Soros, 1992 British Pound / ERM, and 1997 Thai Baht.
🧭 His path (what he shared): lost US$50k in month one, then years of figuring it out. He said he now averages around 2% a month manually, roughly ~8 trades a month, pairing fundamentals with technicals on a higher timeframe like the 4-hour.
