As educators, we are often blessed with the most precious gifts from our students. Yesterday, one of our supervisors had a long conversation with a student about his attendance in tutorial classes. After a while, the student left and came back a few minutes later with a flower for our supervisor. The simple yet heartwarming gesture was enough to make our supervisor feel valued and appreciated. We've also received countless other gifts from our students such as flowers from their gardens, pictures they've drawn of us that look exactly like us, candy, and thank you letters. These gestures remind us of the positive impact we have on our students' lives. We're sure that many of our tutors have also received gifts they haven't told us about. In December, we provided training to all of our students to help them prepare for their final exams and for their future in education. We focused on study skills, exam preparation, memorization, and stress management. We trained approximately 200 students, and the experience was interactive, engaging, and inspiring for both the students and trainers. Our goal was to promote independence and build capacity for our students, so they can achieve greater success in their education.
