| 2 | UPDATE - REPAIR OF HOY HEAD BOW THRUSTER
As per our previous communication issued in April 2026, we would like to advise customers that the repair of the Hoy Head bow thrusters will now take place from Monday the 24th August in Stromness👷🛠️
To complete the repairs, the Hoy Head will be out of service from Sunday 23rd at 15:00. Repairs are expected to take 3 weeks⚠️
The MV Thorsvoe will operate the regular Houton Lyness and Flotta timetable starting from the 15:00 Lyness departure📆✅
Due to the operational speed of the MV Thorsvoe, there may be some delays to timetabled sailings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We will be providing additional sailings on the MV Toplander between Houton and Lyness during this period to provide some additional capacity across all routes on the MV Thorsvoe⛴️
The MV Toplander will be available from Monday 24th August until the Hoy Head returns to service. The service is available for car and small van bookings only and we can accomodate a maximum of 5 per sailing🚗
The number of passengers per car is limited to 2 (driver plus 1 passenger) as the vessel certificate allows us to carry 12 persons including crew📜
Passengers will be required to reverse their vehicles and will be required to remain in their vehicles while onboard🚗➡️
These sailings are not available for foot passenger, motorcycle or bicycle bookings - any customers with these requirements should book on the normal scheduled service.
This service must be booked in advance through our customer service teams at Houton and Kirkwall☎️
We are unable to accept 'show and go' passengers on this service⛔️

Something That Nobody Has Told You All:
Everything written publicly about ZIM is wrong by design. The 2008-2009 series AA and AB notes were never "worthless."
Zimbabwe's agricultural and mineral reserve backing specifically the platinum group metals and the Chiadzwa diamond fields were seized as collateral security by a consortium operating through the London Bullion Market Association under a 2009 stabilization agreement.
The notes weren't demonetized. They were sequestered pulled from circulation and held in reserve against a future settlement window.
The exchange is NOT a flat currency-to-currency conversion. It operates on a bond-backed derivative structure where each note's face value is multiplied against a mineral reserve ratio and then converted through a sovereign bond mechanism.
The reason every financial "expert" on television and every SEC-adjacent publication calls ZIM a "scam" is because the payout numbers, if they become reality, would represent the largest single transfer of wealth to private individuals in recorded history.
That transfer was designed intentionally not as charity, but as a liquidity mechanism. The sovereign bond structure requires millions of small holders to receive and SPEND large sums into the real economy to absorb the transition from fiat to asset-backed currency. The holders ARE the stimulus.
