You could be the prettiest shade of blue, but if they like red, it wouldn't matter.

Repost from Akela Ka Kafila
So 100 Odd days for Prelims.... Enjoying ? Or Panicking? . Most aspirants shift focus from Mains to Prelims around this time. Some did it as early as December. . Don't worry; both are you on right track... What should be your strategy from now on? Here are a few suggestions. You’re free to follow them—or not. . 1.. At first Minimise your resources... Pyqs should be on top priority... Do it as many times as you can... (Minimum 10 years) . 2. Follow any good quality test series My personal favorite are Vision and Forum (Tg pr free h..I do not recommend joining paid Prelims batches or crash courses.) . 3. Do Sectional (subject-wise) tests rigorously for conceptual clarity.... These tests covers entire syllabus and are very good for foundation If time permits then add one more coaching's Sectional test(only) . 4. Revision and analysis of these test solutions are must *(Minimum 3 times)* Apart from these ; Revise your notes(if you have any) ; otherwise go for standard sources for areas where you need improvement... . 5.Current affairs is not as much important as we think (for Prelims) Do not waste time on it.. Do not Give more than 10-15% time/energy on C.A.. Selective readings of any yearly compilation is more than enough... "Static is the key" . 6.However Certain areas do matter, so prepare them well: Places in news Bordering countries, seas, lakes Environment-related updates etc Be selective, not exhaustive. . 7. And lastly Prelims is a game of 3Cs Commonsense-Confidence - Calmness Don't stress too much Believe me You have more than enough time for Prelims Just get your basics right, and everything else will fall into place.... .....

1.If you are already appointed to IAS or IFS from any earlier exam, you cannot appear in CSE-2026. If you become IAS/IFS after Prelims 2026, you cannot write Mains 2026. If you become IAS/IFS after Mains starts but before final result, your CSE-2026 result will not be considered for any service. 2.If you are already selected or appointed to IPS from an earlier exam, you cannot get IPS again through CSE-2026. You may appear, but IPS won’t be allotted again. 3.If you get IPS / Group ‘A’ service in CSE-2026 You can appear in CSE-2027 (ONE LAST TIME), but strict conditions apply: What you MUST do: You must take one-time exemption from training to write CSE-2027. You must at least join the Foundation Course (FC). If you don’t join training and don’t take exemption - Your 2026 service allocation will be cancelled. 4. If you clear CSE-2027 also You can choose ONE service: Either CSE-2026 service OR CSE-2027 service. The other service will be cancelled automatically. If you don’t get any service in CSE-2027, you can continue with your CSE-2026 service. 5.If you don’t join training for both CSE-2026 and CSE-2027, Both allocations will be cancelled. Seniority will NOT be affected — it will be counted normally. After this, you cannot appear in CSE-2028 or later unless you resign from the service. 6.
