I am afraid. When you look into my eyes, I get scared. I figure you will see, I am bruised. I act out and create tension, You stay away. It works out as I planned, You don't look my way. A small part of me wants to cry to you, Dreaming of your shoulders. To list all the wrenching moments, As the night grows colder. The nights do grow colder. I do not let out a peep. I silently rot in. With the scars starting to run deep. I know you do care. I hope you do. I have spoken once. You did not take it as urgently as I wanted you to. So, I took that as a lesson.
