Ten Hag: “He [Martial] makes a difference, but we spoke before, that’s the same for Casemiro, for Eriksen, who are very important players. But, when they are not available, we still have to win.”

Ten Hag: “He [Martial] is the player who is most in the gym, he doesn’t want to be there, he wants to be on the pitch. But of course, our team, in the first place, it’s frustrating, secondly, [it is] for the manager as well because when your best players are available, you have more chance of winning games.”

Ten Hag on #mufc playing well: “They have shown it so many times - Arsenal at home, Liverpool at home, Manchester City home, Barcelona twice, so they can do it. So I trust my players. We are in the right position.”

Ten Hag: “I know how football is, taking in the emotion after one defeat, but we are in the right position. You can talk about deficits - and every squad has deficits - but I trust my players to give good performances and get the best results.”

Ten Hag: “We had a tough programme but it is unacceptable and I don’t accept it. We are in the final part of the season and everyone must stick together.”

Ten Hag: “When we're not doing that [matching standards] we're disappointed, because that's our job. We returned to bad habits and then you get hammered. They know this, the players know this, they talk with each other and they know this is not the standard for a #mufc team.”

Ten Hag: “When you have a strong opponent who play above their level - and many teams do against #mufc - then you get killed. And we did on Sunday.”
2 141
Ten Hag: “Sunday was about determination, passion and desire - and I missed that. When they can’t get it, then they're in the wrong place.”

Ten Hag: “You have to match certain standards and I know in a season you don't only go up one way, you will have fluctuations. But you have to know why you are where you are and what brings us into that position.”
