How much do `a_b_c` usernames sell for? Three Latin letters, two underscores. The updated dataset covers 3,652 sales across 3,213 unique usernames, including 833 sales at or below 10 TON. • Median: 18 TON • Middle 50% of sales: 11–30 TON • Average: 30.56 TON • Lowest: 0.1 TON • Highest: 5,050 TON The median was 18 TON for both first observed sales and repeat sales. For 2026 through September 9, the overall median was 30 TON. Does being a word make a difference? We removed the underscores (`p_a_w` → `paw`) and checked each name against WordNet and Wiktionary, counting words, abbreviations and proper names. 📖 Found in a dictionary 1,700 sales · 1,490 usernames Median: 20 TON Middle 50%: 12–34.21 TON 🔤 Not found 1,952 sales · 1,723 usernames Median: 17 TON Middle 50%: 11–25.67 TON Dictionary matches had an 18% higher median sale price, without adjusting for other factors. But this isn’t a pure “word premium”: 1,256 of the 1,490 matched usernames had an abbreviation label. Example sales: • m_a_d300 TONi_c_e250 TONp_a_y206 TONs_u_n151 TON A dictionary miss doesn’t mean a name is meaningless. Adding Wiktionary improves coverage: vpn, for example, is now recognized even though it isn’t in WordNet.

Beyond Lazarus: Organization of DPRK cyber capabilities: Report maps DPRK cyber ties to Russia: IT teams operating there, infrastructure, and links to the criminal ecosystem. That’s not proof Moscow runs the attacks. Founders, here’s the kicker: a dev using a fake identity can ship legit code while giving an operation access to your data and funds. Contractors can expose their clients too. Basic OpSec: Verify who you’re hiring, check who actually does outsourced work, keep permissions tight, separate code and money approvals, and make access easy to revoke. "We’re too small to get targeted" — would not save you if you have got funds, keys, or client access. Source: https://www.sekoia.com/blog/beyond-lazarus-organization-of-dprk-cyber-capabilities
