Repost from Surafel | ሱራፌል.
I’ve always loved to love, but every one and only time I’ve always actually been in love, I’ve done a terrible job at it. It’s like fantasizing about swimming for me now, I know I can’t swim, I know I would definitely drown, but I’ve always fancied swimming so much that I’ve always jumped in the deepest depths, just to come out half-alive and on my friends’s shoulder. I’m so eager for the experience of it that I rush. I’ve rushed with love so much that I’ve even fallen in love with another vessel and entity before I even loved my own. Before I even knew that the river needed a source before it needed a bank. It is the unawareness of oneself that often tends to affect me. I don’t know that I have love deep within me. Even if I do, the channels are dammed and some of them feel like they’ve dried out. Perhaps it’s my body’s mechanism of trying to protect what’s remaining from all of the love that has already flooded to other deserted areas and dried out. It requires some sense of responsibility and intuition to love. It’s never about the materialistic or the abstract things that you may sacrifice in its expression. Some experiences have always reminded me of the futility of ego, and yet they’ve had dilemmatic lessons that remind you that consciousness is a gift. This perception that you have, this wavering sense of the world that you slap before your eyes, and place before your hands. Even though in its wake, there is an underlying projection of all the good and the bad in your essence, its still practical and its still of some use to the now, the here and the other existing nows and here beside the moments and matter you surround yourself with. But what if the river’s source feels almost non-existent to the source himself. That the conscious is not allowed to know about the whereabouts of the mechanism of love, because it has hurt the source too much. The subconsciousness has decided to veto its reign over the fragile things in life and you’re no longer deserving of a love, or a life. Because you’ve convinced yourself and your entire existence that you don’t want it. The thin stream of river that seems to seep out has only allowed me to allow other people to be happy in my surrounding.

Again, on today’s episode of working with Indians: Raksha Bandhan! A beautiful festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, where sisters tie a rakhi around their brothers’ wrists as a symbol of love and protection.
that was today and they were celebrating it

To be seen without preforming.
To be heard without screaming.
To be missed without disappearing.
To be enough without proving it.
To be held without falling apart.
To be understood without explaining.
To be without being.
