“I want to learn more Japanese so that I can communicate!” 🤩: I’m Jiwoo, the leader of Hearts2Hearts! As a leader, one thing I always make sure to do is listen to and summarize the opinions of all the members. Based on those opinions, I think about the best choice we can make as a group. When practicing performances, I also think it’s important to properly synchronize our movements, while making sure that even the small details are correct, such as whether everyone’s hand angles are exactly the same. My trademark is my shoulder-length short hair. When I was a trainee, my hair was long, reaching below my chest, but I cut it short right before debut. Actually, I had wanted to cut my hair short for a long time, so I was really happy. Also, short hair is practical because it’s easier to dry and more comfortable when wearing earphones, so I like it. Recently, I’ve been grateful to have more opportunities to hear from fans and staff that my Japanese is good. But personally, I think I’m still far from being fluent. I still have a hard time watching Japanese dramas without Korean subtitles, and when I speak Japanese, I sometimes still rely quite a lot on feeling. When I was a trainee, I took Japanese classes, but now it’s quite difficult to find time to study with focus, so it seems like my Japanese skills have actually gotten worse (crying). When I have time in the future, I want to study Japanese again and try taking the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)!
— Korean “Baked Makeup” is my current trend! 🤩: My current obsession is makeup that creates a golden-brown look, like toast. I use a soft blush with just the right balance of warm and cool tones, extending from the bridge of my nose to my cheeks. Since having pretty fingertips makes me feel good, I always make sure to wear nude-colored nails whenever I’m not wearing fake nails. — I really love the preppy style♪ 🤩: The elegant feel of preppy fashion is ideal for me. I enjoy wearing things like polo shirts and button-up shirts; it makes me feel like a model student. I love online shopping. When I shop in stores, there are so many clothes on display that I end up not knowing what to buy (laughs). — My Favorite Playlist: 1. Fantasy - Khai Dreams 2. All Day - George 3. Paper Hearts - Tori Kelly — “What’s in Jiwoo’s Bag” 🤩: I always keep a notebook and a pen in my bag. When I have some free time, I go to a café by myself and write down everything I’m thinking about. It helps organize my thoughts and makes me feel refreshed again. Besides that, I always carry pink lip gloss. I’ve been using the same product since I was a trainee. This bag is small enough to fit a notebook or a makeup pouch, and it has lots of pockets, making it easy to organize my things, so it’s very practical! — Loves Egg Sandwiches & Tuna Mayo Onigiri 🤩 : Recently, I’ve had more opportunities to visit Japan, and every time I go there, I buy an egg sandwich and tuna mayo onigiri from a convenience store every day. They taste so good that I never get tired of eating them!! Besides that, I really love spicy fried chicken, bottled green tea, and round grape and muscat-flavored ice cream ♡ — Japanese Soba 🤩 : This photo was taken when I went to Kyoto with my father during my trainee days. Kyoto is a city I love because its appearance resembles the worldview and atmosphere of Studio Ghibli works. At that time, I found the best soba I’ve ever had and ate lots of my favorite matcha desserts! If I could visit again, I’d like to try that soba one more time. — Watching “Mukbang” Makes Me Happy♡ 🤩: My phone is very important to me. At the beginning of our debut, we left everything to our manager, so it became lively when we reminisced about those days together with the members, talking about how “we were fine without our phones” (laughs). What I watch most often on my phone are “mukbang” videos where the host eats deliciously! — A Letter from Ian to Jiwoo ♡ 🤩 : Leader Jiwoo unnie is a very capable person. But she has a surprisingly clumsy side, so she’s the kind of unnie you want to look after ♡ Not long ago, we became roommates at a hotel for the first time in a long while. We got so caught up talking that before we knew it, we had only slept for one hour (laughs), but it was so much fun and became a very precious memory for me. I’m usually too shy to say this, but I love you♡ Let’s talk again until we lose track of time.
